Steve;
My wife has the Dell pocket DJ MP3 player as well I have never tried it on mine because I have the HD unit on the handlebars but I will do so and let you know how it works. I assume that you have turned the volume all the way up on the player?

hd-dude; Yeah, the volume is all the way up on the player.  It still is short on output to drive the aux. input.  You can still hear it, but the quality isn't there and it doesn't compare to the CD sound or radio sound.
  I should have bought an Ipod.  I'm not sure they work any better, but at least they're still being manufactured!
  Also, Dell sold their digital jukebox digital download business to yahoo.  I had to reformat my computer a few months ago and was told by Dells tech support that since my music was on my MP3 player, I could restore it to my music library.  Wrong!  Yahoos policy is that you pay 99 cents per song and they provide it only once.  Regardless of what happens to your hard drive.
  What ticks me off about all this is that I was misled by Dells own tech support.  I could easily have backed up my music before reformatting.  Now the downloaded files have been switched to wma files (with the padlock symbol) and can't be transferred.  When my MP3 player finally takes a dump- which it eventually will- all my music will be lost.   [smiley=nervous.gif]- Steve
