Title: WARNING, CHANGE OIL @ 50-100 MILES.......(JACK)
Post by: Jack on March 15, 2007, 09:30:48 AM
Gentlemen,

I was sitting at a traffic light when I heard something cycle thru the engine.
I looked down and had 62 miles on the clock.

Thank you Hoist, I took your advice and changed the oil.

The bike sat at least an hour before I did that  (Went for oil, Syn 3).

The instant the plug was removed several small pieces of what looked like teflon
tape came rolling out.  The drain plug had a white substance which looked like teflon
tape had been wrapped around it.

The magnetic drain plug had no loose metal on it.......S/F   Jack

Thanks for the heads up...I have just over 300 miles on my Dyna, and have been checking the oil very frequently, I did notice it's changing color guickly ( figured because of the heat)...I planed on dumping it this weekend...hope I don't find crap in it  :'(
