WANT A GOOD DEAL, ANY IDEAS ?
« on: January 21, 2007, 11:42:05 AM »

[smiley=nervous.gif] OK, OK my first time here.  I am ready to buy this bike.  For $25 LARGE I would like to know how much profit is worked into this price.  As to what % are they working with ?

I live in central Pennsylvania and 150miles from my home has a lot of dealers, including the one in York, Pa. near the factory.

Secondly, has anyone noticed that the engine and trans are silver, not black ?  How can I get a black set up ?

Thanks in advance,

Semper Fi, Jack

Back at you Jacques,

I was in a HD showroom and sat on the Amarillo Gold two days ago. I think this is the one.

You must be the MAN [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]in France to ride something less fuel efficient than most of the cars over there. This one is for you [smiley=drink.gif]

Got a digital camera for Christmas. Pic's will be forth coming.

I got a 1998 Lincoln MK VIII LSC Ivory Pearl with 32k on the clock.
It will look real good over there with the 290 horses under the hood.

Hello Jack,

Welcome to the board!  :bananarock:

I found my Gold/Tangerine FXSTSSE on my local dealers floor priced at 28K.  Ended up paying MSRP (24,995) plus dealer setup (750) and tax/tag/title.  I also purchased the 7 year warranty.  Out the door was just under 30K.  I was not able to find any dealer within 200 miles willing to sell for under MSRP.  Most wouldn't even consider MSRP, as they wanted more profit on this low production bike.  At least it wasn't like the Ford dealers with the new Shelby wanting 25K over sticker.

All FXSTSSE's have the silver engine.  At least it's a little different.  I don't think the black would look quite right.  IMHO

Good luck and let us know how you make out.  The bike is a blast by the way and turns many, many heads!!

We have 3 HD dealers around here.  One jacks up the CVO price, +2000 on the Springer & Dyna for example.  The other two have them marked at MSRP.  IMO Amarillo Gold/Tangerine is the best color.  The FXSTSSE's have sold well, there are a few FXDSE's still sitting in the showrooms.
