Title: Condor going under?
Post by: dayne66 on January 19, 2019, 09:33:10 PM
Heard they haven't paid their employees for a few weeks....any info?

Was looking at getting a chock for the trailer....and this kinda matters to me.

Sorry to hear Condor is having troubles.  Feel for the employees.

On the other hand, you're much better off buying one of these anyway...

I tried a Condor and return it quickly due to the effort in operating it with my Ultra.

For years I have used my WheelDock and never found a better chock.

Sure hate to hear this, I have several Condors and feel they are the best out there. If you are having trouble backing out, this is normally due to incorrect adjustment on the lower shoe. I bought a wheel dock years ago, did not like it at all, maybe they have gotten better but seems to me you had to buy different parts for different size tires. Not so on Condor.
Plus Condor so easy to move from trailer to garage with only a wingunt to loosen.

The downturn in bike sales will no doubt reverberate through the accessory market too.  This will not be the last, I'm afraid.

I have my chock adjusted correctly but it can still be an effort to get the bike out.

I like it in the chock, so i built two runner/platforms from 2X8 (about 4 feet long) with inch blocks screwed to the the bottom about every two feet, the blocks are the width of the 2X8 and then added some wing walk traction tape to the top of the board.  Gives you a little more leverage and traction from my slippery garage floor.

I'd add a pic but no hosting service.

Condor also makes the Harley branded high end chock.

Condor also makes the Harley branded high end chock.

With all what's been going on the past few years and their reliability, some may question using "Harley" and "high end" in the same sentence.   :confused5:

A lot of Harley branded items can be bought cheaper from elsewhere without the "premium sticker'" on them.

I rely on these perfect fat burners for belly fat (https://www.muscleandfitness.com/supplements/best-fat-burners-for-belly-fat/) and have my chock adjusted correctly but it can still be an effort to get the bike out.

Bad management, bad marketing. That's the only way I can explain this. Their products sure don't warrant them going under.

I can't even remember how long ago it was, when I bought my Condor.  Been flawless.  My question is.....how in the f$%* could anything go wrong with one of those?????  Later--HUBBARD
