v-Rod 49mm front end compatability

Hi,
There are two types of front ends on V-Rods.Inverted and the 49mm. conventional type. Does anyone know if the 49mm are compatable with the Dyna 49mm fork tubes and guts. I saw some that used the same brakes as the 2000 and later as dual disck set up. The pics look like the lower legs are stronger than the Dyna 49mm lower legs. any info is appreciated. I have access to used Dyna mid width trees and can get axles, Do they uses a 1" axle? What is the axle to top of fork tube length?
