I saw a Maple with a matching King TP and Vivid black lowers with speakers in the parking lot at Buddy Stubs HD last April....in the sun it looked awesome! I shoulda snapped a pic or two...sorry.

HA! I found my own pictures on this site! These pictures were tucked away in a thread about the two-tone lowers (chrome and black combo bothers a few of you apparently...)

Anyway, for anyone else wanting to see: (including my dealer who, well.... let's say was having a hard time with this today..)

Here it is: (and, yes, I bought one today sight-unseen...) Will post my pics in a month when it shows up. The next guy to consider a maple/black pak will be very prepared when I'm done!

I will look forward to seeing your pics as I have the Maple as well. I was not thinking about adding a TP but it looks great in these pics. Does it attach with the 2 point docking system? How much does it cost? Which TP is that? Sorry for all the questions but you definitely have me going on this... I gotta get off this da@/ forum!

Looks like the KING TP...only size that gets the graphics....not on 2 point...needs the addition of 4 point.

There is a blue one with chopped, and it has graphics.

Good grief.. dont make me go search for it....

Maybe he had it custom painted, but I assure you it had the same graphics.

I am going with the full size "king" and I added black hinges and latches (dealer allowed a clean swap for the chrome)
I am also going to mount it forward as I do not plan on having a passenger. So, you will all get to see what in the world that will look like too...

And, I did go with the chopped pack backrest instead of the wrap around full size one. I only like the full size style when it has the speakers to fill in the bottom-- and the speakers DO NOT come in brown, and the stereo does not have a fader so I do not think I will even hear them enough to justify the cost of all of that (large backrest, speaker pods (black) and the required wirring harness for the speakers...

Screw that, I'll go with the sleek small pad and move on! Saw that on a skunk w pak on here and really liked it.

Hope that helps you all too.

I'll be back with photos and info. Takes 30 days to get the pack.

Oh and will have to paint the mounting rack as they only come chrome. Cool thing is you use the 4 point dock and then you can eventually have two different mount-racks to place the box for solo rider or two-up when needed.

This stuff is new to me. Never had to buy a box and all this before.

There is another thread with a skunk with a Razor-pak with the matching graphics. I guess he must have had it custom painted. He has it installed solo as well with a spoiler added that really looks nice. Your killing me, I wasn't even thinking Bout a tour pak. You are a evil man...

I have now seen the white and the blue in chopped version with the graphics...

I have to believe these are from Harley too.

You think they both had custom paint that is identical in scheme? I doubt it...

So, good news for those who want chopped, factory, and matching graphics...

However, for me, I'm going King size..

Anyone who owns these bikes or has similar set-ups please chime in!! Thanks folks

I went with the King for my '12 FLHXSE3, because, whenever it's on, I'll be on 'tour' and need the extra room it provides over the Chopped....it's not on all that often, though.

Hello Rat, the pics you saw of the pack off the bike were mine I attahed the one i use for my screen login so you can get a better look. All total with some extras added it ran about 2600 for the king tourpak, backrest and all the hardware. I have the multi point so i can packless, just a backrest or solo. if no backrest or pack then i have the black mount covers also. All my hardware is factor black or powdercoated black, my son in law does powercoating so it helps in the $$$. Hope this helps.

Mine is ordered!

I went with black hardware, forward mount (solo), and the small chopped backrest.

I will post pics too in a month when it arrives.

I assume I will add break lights and maybe even the king back rest and speakers one day.

Also: I was told by Harley that there is a software upgrade for our stereo that adds a fader. That may push me to buy the rear speakers now.
I believe that without a fader to put more sound to the back than the front, I would not hear the back.

I had rear speakers on a previous bike (Victory) and using the fader to drive the back speakers really made an awesome full surround sound on the bike. It was great.

Anyone done this upgrade? Fader experience?

I do have the 2012 RGC in Maple and will add on a TP, one question to Rat Monkey, are alle the hardware genuine HD parts? I will also go for the foward mount.

Hello. Yes, everything I bought is all Harley.

I am still waiting for the box to arrive. I have about 2 weeks to go.

I bought the box, the 4 point dock, and the forward mount rack.
I also added the black hinges/latches. (dealer is letting me buy those, and swap out for chrome ones that will come stock)
the box does already come with the upgraded hardware, I just wanted to switch to black.

You also get to buy a lock for the lid, and a lock to lock the box to the bike. And a liner. heh heh, it never ends.

I had the rack powder coated black (they only come chrome..) and I had the lower side(s) edge trim painted black (box comes with chrome strips there)

I also am having the 4 point dock painted to match the brown.

I did not do any of the brake lights or running lights yet. They bolt on, and can be done later.

I also did the small backrest like someone else showed on here. I liked that streamlined look. However, if I upgrade the stereo system I may get the bigger backrest and the speaker pods...

I will post many pics when I get it all done.

I Was trying to add that the dealer told me there is an update for our stereo that adds a fader (front/back speaker control)

If I were to add the rear speaker pods and large backrest I would want that fader to make the rear/surround sound work best..

That's just the basic Harley backrest.....and it turned out to be a really close match to the Mustang seat.
