Internal Radio Antenna Issues

I have put on a King Tour Pak and put a internal radio antenna which is located in the faring, and now if I get more than twenty miles from town NO RADIO.  My buddy has a mp3 player with a fm transmitter in it and I can put it on my bike and it wont pick up the signal.  Anybody else have this internal antenna?  If so, same problem.  Thanks for replies.

I have the same setup and have not experienced a significant loss of signal over the stock external antenna. A little loss when traveling through heavily treed parks or in valleys. Might check to see if the antenna is plugged into the radio.

Took it to dealer and they checked it out and said it was plugged in.  I might have to take faring apart myself I guess, just to be sure.  Something is haywire for sure, maybe the radio is no good?
