Nothing is wrong with them.

The current owners may have bought them for all the wrong reasons. Now they want to sell them before the end of the year.
Or, maybe they found another bike they like better, like a 2014 CVO.

Mine will not be for sale until it has 40,000 to 45,000 miles on it.  Then it will be time for a new one.  The 09 CVO RG had 42K on it when I traded for the Skunk

Most of them that I have seen have almost no miles and priced 6k to 8K over MSRP.  I think I can figure out why.

Notin but money!  Probably opting for the 13's for the colors and sound system?

The speakers in the bags, to me are not worth it.  They take up way to much space, especially when you add in the amp.  Plus I feel the skunk blows away the 13 color offerings, so does the Blue from 12.

I do think the Gold is the best color on the 13's

I've been toying with the idea myself of moving up to a 12 or 13 and giving up my RG Ultra.  It's great for touring but big for around town, however the benefit on a long ride outweighs the around town riding, plus who knows if HD will ever make another CVO RGU?  It appears they have a home run on the sport model, plus they have a lock on the upgrades and $$ invested with adding tour packs and other accessories?  I'm a big fan of the RG period, there's not a bad model.  I love the 2012 colors, and I like the 13's with some of the adds they made.  Yup, less saddle bag space increases tour pack sales and all the hardware that goes with it!  Good old MOCO.  They will always sell an unfinished product for the sake of aftersales!

E-glide: yep, I had my RG Custom and modded the heck out of it. Got the Skunk and promised my fiancé the days of modding pretty much done. Ha, I was delusional but she knew I was lying. She actually helps with the addiction and fun.

There are some popping up at dealers in the last few months that were MoCo bikes that used in demo fleets and exec bikes.

I know in my area of east TN no skunk ever hit the show room floor.  They were all sold long before they made it to the dealer.

I called on the bike at Sunset, the left over 2012.  The guy hasn't called me back :confused5:  I was thinking if they wanted to get rid of it and the deal was worth while, I would get it and sell my CUSE.  I kind of like the idea of the removable tour pack, use it when you need it, otherwise more of a bar hopper type scoot.  If it wasn't such a PITA (pain in the ass) to do it on my bike, I would do it and keep it as the best of both worlds.  I didn't get to ride much last year because of a new job so i have really low miles on my bike.  Just thinkin outloud!

The one at Sunset is a Demo with 3000 miles and The Stealer want 36,000, What abunch of A$$holes.

fyi-
31.5 for Skunk w/color matched removable TP and Fat Cats(7K miles)
19.5 for SERK trade in (which i thought was very fair)
12 out of pocket

In their dreams!  I love my bike, but I like the idea of having a tourpack only when I need it.  A few guys managed to remove their tourpack but it was a major undertaking, you have to deal with the sound system which is tied into the amp located under the tourpack.  Basically, you have to install a new amp or relocate the amp with a easy disconnect for the speakers and electric lock, and lights on the trunk.  Dealer wanted $1500 to do the work!

I agree I have the Dyna and I Love my tour pack, and if the right deal came along I could be persuaded to add a Skunk.

I went from a 2011 RGU to a 2013 CVO RG and that was one of the things I worried about.  But, the amount of space lost to the amp and speakers is surprisingly little.  Unless you have jammed your saddle bags full to the point of compressing the the contents when you shut the lid, you probably won't notice the difference.

Brand new Skunk, left over 2012 at Rawhide in Kansas.  They show a Cobalt Blue and a Maple too in stock, all with less than 10 miles on the clock.

Seems kind of strange that their website shows one of each of the 2012 CVO models in each color that they were made in. Quite a collection and all MoCo press pictures. If this is the case, I would say all 2012 CVOs are starting to smell.  :D

I have a 12 CVO RG Skunk and the 13 CVO Anniversary RK.  The amount of space lost is a lot to me.  I use to cary on my left bag on the skunk my rain gear, rain gloves, winter gloves summer gloves, various Eye wear, the gps case and my angled saddle bag cooler.  Leaving the right bag for my luggage.  Well what is in my left bag on the skunk will not fit in the left bag in the King.  So it has to go in the right, and I can not totally fill the cooler due to the speaker.  I also have less room now for luggage.  I can see if you do not take trips on the bike where it would not matter, but when you go for several days or weeks it is significant.

What????  They're just fishin, hopin for someone with more money than brains.

I paid waaaaaaay less than that for my brand new - 6 miles on the odo -2013 CVO RGC.
