Saddle
« on: February 17, 2013, 02:36:06 PM »

A friend with a '12 RG mentioned to me he had problems with the saddle getting saturated in the rain. Moco said there not guaranteed not to leak. They are water resistant not waterproof. Said he had to hang it to let the water run out from the foam. Probobaly not a problem for you fair weather guys!!! Sometimes we experience rain on the West Coast!!!

I have found that any time there are stitches in a seat it lets water into the cover. A few seats that I have seen apart have a plastic liner over the foam but no guarantees that it will seal.

I had a stock seat from a FLHX Street Glide that had a perforated pattern and it was the same way.

It helps a bit giving the seat a good treatment with Leather Dressing, - give the stitches special attention.
