Culmination of a 4 month project. Wanted a helmet to match the style and look of the Switchblade so started with an Icon full face and took it to Leni at Krazy Kolors. Wanted the CVO logo, the SE logo and some flames. He added the HD bar/shield with flames on the front as that is all over the bike as well.
Pleased with the result.

When you show up to ES next week, your undies better be red with gold flames on them, with as far as you're going now!!! I expect to see a red leather/gold flames jump suit!

Have boxers with flames but don't wear them much. Have flame shirts, caps & dew rags. I am a confirmed pyro so I also have several torch lighters and other fire making devices. Will be bringing cigars and flame lighter to ES as well so we can sit down and smoke!

Are you speaking of the motorcycle? :nixweiss: Helmet? :nixweiss: Surely you'd take care not to drop that helmet with all that artistic paint on it. As with the Switchblade. :nervous: Ohhhhhh, parish the thought. :nervous: :-[ :o >:( :( :'( har! :drink: spyder

That looks great Buy...I'll bet your insurance company goes nuts with the options list you have for your ride... :P I'd be sick if I dropped that helmet though...for some reason I can't keep my helmets pristine...they always get dinged and scratched...:(

I've got helmet-dropsy sometimes too Charlie. Got over the worry by convincing myself that helmet rash adds character.

On the way out to the Hills for the rally we stopped in Sioux Falls for dinner with some friends. I set the helmet on the ground next to the front wheel so it wouldn't fall off something and get dinged up. Went to put a kickstand rest under the kickstand as it was hot asphalt and lifted the bike back to center position driving the highway peg into the helmet finish. First scratch. A little painful but it was gonna happen sometime anyway. This stuff is just stuff. Try to keep it nice but that isn't going to stop me from using it.

The Helmet looks nice!!!

It looks great I like it

Very nice. Thinking of having a helmet painted to match a black/green flamed CVO Springer.
What should I expect to pay for the paint and any recomendations on who to have do the paint?

Kinda depends what all you are doing. I found a stock Icon helmet that was the correct color (although it had a matte finish) so did not need to paint the helmet red. If you do a lot of complex graphics, price can go high in a hurry. I ended up with $160 for the stock helmet and $450 for the flames, SE graphic, CVO graphic, HD bar/shield flames graphic and clearcoat of the whole helmet. It was about what I figured it would be.
Helmet was done by Leni at KrazyKolors:

Leni has done gold leaf flames on my WG2 chin spoiler, windshield, and battery box and he is currently color and graphics matching the saddlebags for my wife's SE Deuce. I have a great deal of confidence in him.

Thanks for the info, I hope I can be as creative as you if I go thru with it!!!!!

Trick paint is expensive due to the high cost of those materials as well as the difficulty of the application. Perfection is expected so ya gotta pay up. ;) spyder

Had one painted one time in a candy root beer to match a bike had all the graphics done and super clear coated, shined like a piece of art, then I dropped it. Darn near cried, a lot of money shot.
Anyway helmet looks super.
