Title: Red Liquid
Post by: btharris24 on August 31, 2022, 04:45:35 PM
Got my bike back from the shop the other day after having new tires put on. When I got it home I noticed a red liquid on the back/lower part of my front fender. Washed the bike and put it away. Rode it to work today and noticed not really a liquid but like a greasy smear in that same area. Shop says it's probably neck bearing grease. Coincidence?

Thanks,
bh

I would think if it was neck bearing grease you should see, feel, be able to wipe some away at the bottom of the neck to confirm. I have noticed some at the bottom of the neck after having my bike serviced (neck bearings greased) when I washed it. Extremely hot ambient temp may also make the grease that has accumulated on the bottom of the neck liquify/drip. :nixweiss:

I have to agree with Rayson, tell us what your bike info is in question. I've been around here since 2004 in one form or another and have no idea what a signature even is. Hopefully you have the problem corrected.

Just FYI on the "signature" thing.  That is something for which the viewability can be turned off in the individual user settings.  I haven't seen signatures since (maybe?) 2006....
