Title: Spiced Rum
Post by: BANDANAGIRL on August 01, 2009, 09:10:49 PM
Don and I checked out the spiced Rum today at Eagles Nest today in Lathrop.
I loved the color but Don wasnt as excited. The gold Leaf was beautiful through my eyes but not his .
I thought the fairing needed another color added to the pinstripping. He said it didnt pop enough.
Ok well hes trying to compair to his 09 Roadglide and nothing pops quite like that.
Anyway we are looking forward to seeing the Tequila Sunrise.

Tell Don I'm with you on this one.  I think it 'pops' just fine.  Tell me, how did the seat height compare to your  :cherry: SEEG?  :confused5: spyder

spyder, I'm sorry after seeing it in the sun, it just doesn't do it for me, I felt like harley really dropped the ball on this one I don't like the wheels black like that, the front calipers are painted black the front forks being painted halfway down to me looks cheap. The seat height I felt was about the same as our 05 SEEG. I'll be waiting on the tequilla sunrise to see if it's just the color.

Have to say I agree with you Don, It's a CVO should be all chrome!

Have to agree, Been waiting on SE Street Glide for a couple years but the colors offered don't do a thing for me, guess i'll keep my 07 razor red SERK.

I like it because it is different, not same same old thing year after year. The painted cow bells are nice. I have seen a lot more of that done recently as opposed to all chrome front ends, a nice touch. The painted headlight looks good also. Add an extended trim ring in chrome as well as a HID bulb and call it done. The wheels have a "Foose-esq" look to them, I like them. Now a 21" would be real nice. :2vrolijk_21: I'd be curious to see what the wheels would look like color matched, it may be to much. Possibly color match or chrome the carriers on the rotors. Add a flush mount axle and BAH fork cap. I do agree the fairing needs the colors carried over from the rest of the bike to the fairing as well as the front fender. Take the license plate off of the fender and move it under the fender, add some decent sized exhaust tips to fill in all of that space around the bags and fender. Color match the mirrors as well as the switch covers. While I'm not a Bat-Wing fairing guy the bike has potential IMO.

I could of owned the RUM, I had it on order, when it came in I told my dealer I will go with the next color - Concord or Tequlia Sunrise.
I dont like the RUM color.
I owned a 95 Heritage Springer (95th anniversary edition) this color was dark cherry almost looks like the RUM. I sold this because I did not like the color.
Nothing wrong with the '10 Street Glide.
I just like the other colors better..........

Well, I definitely have to agree that it's all personal tastes.  And I personnally really liked the way they did the spice rum.  So much so, I put a deposit on the one they have down at the local dealer.  Just waiting for them to sell my 08 SG.  I loved the looks of the bike when they were driving it out of the shop and just seeing it under the flourescent lights, and then when they took it outside, the deal was done.  I've always been very partial to the contrast cut wheels and these look sweet.  Personally, I like the color-matched beer cans.  Not sure what size pipes will fill those cutouts...because the SE stock mufflers are 4" cans.  I suppose the V&H ovals would fit in there and possibly even the monter ovals...but I've looked at the monster ovals and don't like them.  Otherwise, most other mufflers are the 3" in variety...maybe Rhineharts with the black tips would look really good...:)
