Good idea ! :2vrolijk_21:

Is it useable on the Harley-Davidson® Security System Pager #91665-03 ?

Thanks

Jacques

The item pictured 91664-03 is the early, first generation unit, not the Smart Siren 2 or the Pager Receiver 2.

I think he knew that, hence the question. I just can't look up the info without getting an FCC ID number off of the unit.  :-X

OK   so i figure  what a way to check out that new full face magnifing   head set other than take that darn model 68328-06 Smart Siren II reciever out from under all that brake dust and read the  FCC number .... its   MKFAR158   (made in china) ::)   maybe now we can catch a thief a mile away??

Thanks but my original post is for that one.  ::)

The one I don't have is for the older model that Jacques asked about. Sorry for the confusion!

I've not dismounted the transmitter on the bike, perhaps a label on it have this information.
But, on the sheet instruction, it's wrote :
FCC notice :
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with part 95 of the FCC rules.

I know not if it's enough ....

Jacques
Dang Jacques  I bet you have brake dust on yours too :huepfenlol2: :nixweiss:  it was on the end edge of the reciever, naturally the one facing the front of the bike   so 2 nuts had to be pulled.  get the magnifiying glass out first!!

I managed to get my hands on my old unit. Outside of the Bar & Shield, there are no numbers in the housing itself. There are two stickers on the unit; a quality control sticker and one with the numbers 05S03; which I understand have no value here.

I managed to get a PDF copy of the instruction sheet for the unit, although it doesn’t look like it contains the necessary information. (attached)

When I’m backed into a corner like this, I sometimes try burning a little incense while chanting; it’s a long shot, but you never know. :)

That's amazing. ETSI is worse than the FCC. Hard to believe they didn't label the device. Does your bike have pontoons? Maybe someone rode it over!!  :orange:  ;)

Don't give it too much effective output, if it is on/near 433 MHz it is in the middle of the amateur radio band where we do weak signal work.

Does anybody really do much ham radio stuff anymore? I still have radios in the cars but just in case of emergency I guess. Don't use them. Besides, it's only one channel. N0HDB  :P

Jester,

Now that's funny right there!  :D

Still use it a lot.  Mostly hf weak signal stuff. But a bit if VHF/UHF weak signal/ssb stuff.

Yup, one more channel... one at a time, there they go.  Frequencies, rights, etc...  :^)

Something is wrong. If I leave my on all the time, it will last several weeks. I ususally just have it on when I'm traveling or in a motel. I've replaced it once since last Sept. HTH  :-\
