from their site:

This stout is aged on coffee beans from Rwanda.Known as the the “land of a thousand hills”, Rwanda produces some of the world’s finest coffee due to its volcanic soil, high altitude and plentiful rain. We are partnering with Thousand Hills Coffee as a source for this Rwandan coffee. Working with micro-entrepeneurs like Thousand Hills Coffee offers some of the world’s best ingredients and a chance to give the little guy a leg up.

We start with a clean, dry stout brewed with a bit of smoked malt and dark roasted barley, and then age it for one week on whole coffee beans - 3/4 of a pound per barrel. The result is a rich, roasty flavor with a smooth finish.

Coffee, black.  Morning only.

Except when I decide to have a cup after dinner.  Black then too......

except when I decide to add Bailys or Kahlua or Irish Whisky.

And to the urologist of my wasted young adulthood who told me I would never drink coffee or carbonated drinks again due to their fascination with roto rootering.... will not say where but never had THAT done either.....

Nyah, nyah, nya nyah naaaaaa!

NOW WE ARE BACK ON TRACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :drink:

I have to give that to the "FNG's" a lot. Also have to remind them that they have 2 ears, 1 mouth use them accordingly. :2vrolijk_21:

If you want I can roast you up a pound - would be willing to support your brewing experiments!

I am not sure I have any Rwandan beans, but I have about every other coffee hot spot in my stash...

My Kegerator isnt as purty as yours but it will do...

After corrosion distroyed all of the tappers, I purchase Gold Plated stainless steel beer tapers including all stainless steel  internal components, also there are two kinds of tapers, the traditional rear sealing and the new forward sealing design. the old style rear sealing taps tend to dry shut if not used on a daily basis, the new forward sealing design keeps the seal wet and will not dry itself shut if you don't use it for a day or two.

Eagle,

NICE! Mine are stainless (chrome) forward sealing however i am guessing the screw collar is not since it has started to get some surface rust which in turn is bleeding onto my taps. Is that what you ran into with your others?

Rob, those are excellent taps, they will save you a lot of grief down the line. Mine corroded from the inside, from the beer, they were chrome plated brass. your problem is the high humidity causing condensation all the time. your taps will be OK and will clean up with lime away, see if you can find some stainless collars, someone must make them, I went with brass to match the the taps and have had no problems.

Also, If I pm you the grains, specialty grains and hops I have on hand, could you rummage around in your recipe book and shoot me a PM on a few options?

no problem, send it to me.
