Yesterday we rode to Boston for lunch - waited until our friends got home from church, so a little bit of a late start.  The cafe closed at 2, but they let us in to eat anyway even with the "Closed" sign on the door.  Had to eat what they had left - roast & chicken & brownie pie - very good. Then we went to the only other place open in Boston - an antique store.  Found out we missed the Boston Marathon - that was this last Saturday. Anyway, they don't serve beer in Boston on Sundays so we went to the lake & drank icy cold

and smoked cigars.  Blue skies, temps in the 70's, beautiful day.  Great day for a ride.  Next weekend it's a ride to the Seafood Festival in Appalachicola for oysters & beer on the porch of the old Gibson Hotel.

Ha! I have Friday off, so I get to start tomorrow night! :pepper:

Never had Buffalo Trace, I'll have to get some. I am going to a wedding in Estes Park this weekend, bringing some of the Stranahans Colorado whiskey, I haven't opened it yet! We're spending the weekend!  :drink:

Nige,
I too didn't wait for Friday ( never do ) a group of friends have been getting together every Wednesday nite for the past 25 years in what we call council meeting. We cook something on the grill and drink until we solve all of the problems of the day.
Don't solve too many problems but we have a good time!

It's fairly new and real small batch, make about 3 barrels a week, just outside Denver, I haven't tried mine yet, will this weekend, but the gut at the liquor store really likes it.

Give us a report once you try it. I don't think 3 barrels a week would keep me supplied. I have Evan Williams on 3 shifts now and Makers Mark may have to expand.

Yesterday had a choice - London's Pride or

Smithwicks - very good. Different flavor.

Beer Friday started Thursday night this week.  Will continue into Berr Saturday & Beer Sunday if my Beer Plan succeeds.
