I quite fancied trying some of this stuff after what you boys have written about it.

But it's $367 a bottle over here  :nervous:

Thanks. That explains why I don't see it anymore. Probably a good thing too it was potent. There is a tradition at the local college (U.Va) called "Fourth Year Fifth" that seniors that participate drink a fifth of liqour of there choice before/during/after the last home football game. Usually something bad (alcohol poisoning) happens to at least one of them. :(

I watched that too, it's pretty wild the way they harvest the hops.

I never grew hops, but my friend grows two types at his house, Cascade, and Mt. Hood.

How much trouble was that?
Did you plant 20?
20 doesn't seem like much!
Where did you buy them to plant?

I know, lots of questions but I'm curious!

that was less then 20 cones on a single vine.

i bought the roots at my local beer supply store

planted 2 cascade roots but only one of them grew, this was my first year so i didnt expect much yield. hope it does better next season.

He ordered his bare root from the local brew shop. Takes a few years to get a decent yield. He has four of each,  they are about nine years old, but were replanted four years ago when he moved. I think he gets a little less that an pound each plant. How long have your plants been in the ground?
