Bike died yesterday.  No speedo, no tach, no blinkers - no starter switch.  We rode to a part of Georgia that does not serve alcohol on Sundays.  My current theory (which replaces my previous theory of wire eating gremlins that live in the fairing & supersedes the original theory of some fuse blown (nope replaced 1 bad one but nada) or a bad security/computer module ??) is:  the bike was pizzed that we rode over 22 miles & no beer.  I know I was pizzed......

I am sorry about no beer, that otter teach me to avoid Georgia on Sundays but I usually do as it is a 6 hour drive from here.  Which fuse blown?

Sounds as if that silly security thing could be a culprit, hope the fix is cheap and stay out of places with no beer on Sunday, that is just wrong.  Wrong in so many theocratic, pilgrimmy ways...

Tach/speedo fuse was blown.  Replaced it & still no starter.  Tried pushing but no convenient hill & compression releases were closed so nada...

Pulled & checked all others including the maxi fuse & - nuttin'.  Did not rule out evil spirits revenge from the gods of copper yet, either.

Bike is in warranty - first time ever towed.  Kinda made for a later evening for the 4 couples I suppose. Good friends stayed with me until another arrived with a pickup to help push.

Jawga has good rides but laws from the puritanical persuasions of distillery avoidance.

Will do.

Floribama has roads that run in both directions so the return trip is not a problem.  The idea of the 1 way road out of the state of FL has not caught on yet.

My wife originally had wanted to ride to an undisclosed location ocean side that serves foo-fooery concoctions of dubious origin.  Instead we rode to lovely Lake Eufala & lunched on chicken parts fried real good as well as a mac 'n cheese with that real crusty cheese on top that is a true gourmicurian delight.

I later drowned my sorrow with

Judge Smails - "You know, you should play with Dr. Beeper and myself. I mean, he's been club champion for three years running and I'm no slouch myself."
Ty Webb - "Don't sell yourself short Judge, you're a tremendous slouch."

NY recently repealed the puritan law that forbids liquor stores being open on Sundays.  Prolly a tax thing.  People still haven't caught on yet.

Sorry about the bike.  Fried chicken makes it all better though.  Will a wingbone fit in the fuse slot?

I wish to live vicariously through your dining opportunities.

The Festivus celebration is not officially noted locally due to some nasty smelting accident probably but some of us make do.  Should you travel to yon hinterland we will celebrate regardless, and after we celebrate regardless, we can celebrate Festivus too.

I had no smokes with me yesterday due to advancing age or not figuring I would be stuck on the side of a road for 3  %$#^&! hours.
