How to quiet down HD Street Cannons
« on: May 13, 2022, 01:27:30 PM »

I recently had the Screamin Eagle Stage IV 131 engine modifications done to my 2020 CVO Limited. I love the boost in power, the thing goes like a banshee now. However I don't like the loud exhaust with the HD Street Cannons on it. I'd like to find a way to quiet it down a bit. The mufflers are a straight through design, so there is room to add baffles of some kind. Anyone have experience with this and can recommend some ideas?

Check with Fuel Moto, they have some baffles that they offer for that reason, I don't know if they will fit, but they should know

This company, Big City Thunder, also makes quieting baffles for a variety of pipes.  I had a set of them when I had a non-cat header and CFR pipes.

BTW, I would spray them w/ high heat paint before installing them.   :2vrolijk_21:

How loud is it with the mufflers. Reason is I’m thinking of doing the 131” in my 22 CVO RG and I have the same mufflers.

I recommend going back to your original mufflers and adding Fullsac 2" or 2.25" cores and their Tech Mat to quiet it down. It's a cheap and easy fix and you'll love the results. I have Fuel Moto's 128" kit along with some other upgrade and utilize the 2" cores. Tons of low end torque and a really nice tone.
