No Power Locks, but FOB is working '15FLTRUSE
« on: May 23, 2023, 09:54:16 AM »

My Road Glide Ultra doesn't actuate the power locks for my saddlebags or tourpack...
The dash button doesn't work.
When I press the key fob, the blinkers flash (it's correctly receiving the wireless signal), but the locks don't actuate (no click).
Before I resort to the worst-case scenario (bringing it to the dealership & their super-slow service) I was hoping someone could point me to the most likely location of the probable disconnection.
TIA,

I'd start with the fuse box and see if there's any blown fuses.

The relays that control the locks are under the left side cover.  I have had the connections rust in the past and break off.  There are three relays under there; 1 is for the led lights within the bags, 1 is to lock, 1 is to unlock.

 :)
armed with a little info I was able to diagnose the issue...
Once I cleaned the contacts I had lights & unlock, but still no locking... I finally realized the service mechanic at the dealership had reinstalled the relays in the wrong locations.   The locking & unlocking relays each have 5 contacts, the led lights only has 4...
bingo... when I got them all in the right locales everything is working right again... (all locations accept the 5 pin configuration).
(I really need a detailed wiring schematic for this bike so I won't ask stupid questions).

Thanks 05Quadrasteer.
