On a trip now. Best tank 44.18, worst tank 29.51. Most of my tanks are in the 36-38mpgs. For me Speed is the big difference. The faster I go, the more fuel I use. Altitude helps some, but mostly it's speed.

Averaging 30 MPG on the FXDSE2.  Slightly modified (D&D FatCat 2-1, T-max and K&N filter)  Highway and 'round town average.  70-75 MPH on the highway and round 3000 RPM on the local streets.

Funny, I would have thought I'd get a bit better mileage.  Must be the less then aerodynamic guy riding my Dyna, lol.

I have a need for speed which means I'm usually in the 30-32 range  :nervous:

really interesting that not using 6th gear can get you better gas miliage unless you're going over 65 mph.  that 5th gear is better at lower speeds....   amazing.

1st I've checked on the SERG3 + 33 mpg. Lots of fast accelerating and 80 mph running.

That's good to hear. Only 950 on the O.D. so haven't pushed redline (much) but I'm getting comfortable w/ 5th and 6th. Pretty strange having an extra gear.

I was getting 40 average before 10% ethanol and 36 after the goverment decided for all of us that burning corn in our motors would be better than having food.

I started putting Duralt by HD in my tank and the mileage went back up to 40. I think the stuff actually works.

I get 36 around town and I have not had the chance to do any highway riding yet. My bike is still stock.

'08 SERK with Nightrider XiED.  While recently riding my Colorado mountain passes (Monarch, Lizardhead, Wolfcreek, LaVeta), 1-up, averaging 70MPH and leading the pack, I got a low of 48mpg and a high of 53mpg.  This is pretty much eqaul to my old '02 FLHR, but I get to 70MP a heck of a lot faster!  :2vrolijk_21:
