Add one more to the Registry.  Today I just took delivery of my second 1999 "Blue Flame" FXR3.  #951527   I sold the first one I had years ago (it only had 2,100 miles) and regretted it ever since.  My second one has 12,000 miles but is bone stock as far as I can tell, which is what I wanted.  Will post pictures soon.  Trish

Yes Spyder, I'm leavin' it bone stock.  I bought it from a guy in Texas so it has just a little humidity corrosion in 3-4 places (the little silver plate on the front of the fuel petcock, a few screws here and there) that I need to fix.  It looks like the clutch and throttle cables may have been replaced with black ones.  The brake lines are braided silver and I thought they clutch and throttle cables matched on the first one I had, which I know for sure was bone stock.  Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of the first one.  Do you know whether the stock cables were braided or black?

Trish, congrats on getting back into a blue 3!  I'm way behind on updating the registry, but I'll definitely keep yours in mind when I do.

Stock, the clutch and throttle cables were just plain ol' black on the FXR3.

Looking forward to seeing some pics of your new ride when you get a chance!

Located in So. California. Last six-951614. Name: Barry Golden, and I bought it used and stock in 2001.
And, of course, I have all stock sheetmetal. This sheetmetal(and sidecovers) came from ebay, and I had the pieces power-coated.

Man, that's about as sweet as the blacked-out bagger someone posted a month or so ago! :2vrolijk_21:  It is originally a blue one?  What's the story on the front forks?
