This weekend, I had the honor of participating in a ride for a friend and fellow road captain... Matt Johnson..

He actually re-enlisted in February... but was in Italy at the time... he wanted to share the event with his friends and family here.. so he had the ceremony at National Cemetary of the Pacific at Punchbowl.. or in its Hawaiian name, Pu'owaina.

Thanks for sharing, brought back memories for me after being stationed at the Sub Base during the early 70's.

Likewise.  I was an Army Medic at Tripler and then Scholfield Barracks 73 - 77.  Live in Hale'iwa for several years, but Honolulu most.  We burried a few friends at the Punch Bowl...
