Viberation in footboards at 70 - 75.
« on: May 03, 2012, 06:45:11 AM »

Has anyone else notice vibrations in there footboards at 70 + mph? I am not sure if it is because I am not use to the 110 and I feel more vibrations then I did with the 88 inch. Or maybe it is because of the new frame and engine mounts .

Also, the bike is all stock.

Make sure the mounting brackets are tight to the frame. When I got my '10, a bolt was actually missing from the left side mount.

My 110 doesnt vibrate any more/less than my 103 and Evo before that.  Could it be a broken motor mount?

Loosen the big bolt that attaches the header pipes to the tranny bracket, make sure all of the other exhaust bolts are tight, and then retighten it. It might make the footboard vibes go away, or at least lessen them. This bolt should be the LAST bolt you tighten on the exhaust pipes.

Hey man ...

Can't offer up any more advice than has already been given except for the following:

Go get that 2011 Black/Crimson with chrome Agitators as part of the deal!!

Seriously though -
It was great meeting up today. Your sound system (RF-300/4 and Hertz HCX-165) simply ROCKS! Congrats on doing such a stellar install. I couldn't tell you even touched the bike and trust me - I was looking ;)

More than happy to ride down with you if you decide to pull the trigger on the 2011 ... just let me know :)
