I guess my info is slightly out of date....have not looked at a Valentine in 20+ years as I continue to be more than satisfied with the performance of the various Escorts that I've had.

I'll admit that I used to love the size of my Passport years ago, but compared to today tech, it's worthless. Back in the day, it was the chit.

However, if you similarly compare a 386 computer of that same era to what we have today, there's no comparison either.

Nature of the beast.

 :worthless:

I use my Escort 9500i on my bike and in my work car. Even though I put allot of miles on my work car so far I am ticket free. I attribute part of that to most of our local LEO's leave their car mounted radar on so i can pick them up before I see them and there are few laser users.

The 9500i has a gps so it automatically adjusts sensitivity according to my speed, learns where false signals are and has an up datable data base of speed and red light cameras.  It will alarm if it senses a new radar signature in an area that it has saved as a door opener or security alarm. I have seen this work several times. I can also program in custom way points where I have encountered repeated speed traps.

Lot of good feedback everyone! Don't think I need to use detector on the bike but have a decision to make for the SUV.

I do the 9500Ci built into all my cars.  I did it on my Streetglide too and love it.  You can see threade at link below or search this site for 9500Ci.
