Hello all. I bought my first CVO in January (a 2013 FLHTCUSE8). Louisville Harley delivered it on my birthday (Happy Birthday to me!). While I was out in the garage admiring all the beauty I found fingerprints that wouldn't wipe off, they are under the clear coat. My motorcycle is back at the dealer waiting for a new fairing and front fender. So while I try to stay sane I have been watching youtube videos about these bikes. I found some that describe alot of wind buffeting and really unstable handling about this particular bike. My 2011 Ultra Limited was very stable. Do any of you have that problem?

Welcome to the world of SE from NC. I have a '09 SEUC and it was pretty stable. Installed a 21" front and it is now smooth & stable. Have heard lots of complaints........not from me.

A good pal of mine has the same ride, great looking bike!
When he first got the bike he did complain about the handling at high speed but hasn't mentioned it for a few weeks! he must of got used to it!

I have a FLHTCUSE8 also. I only have about 2100miles on it but have had no issues with handling. I rode a 05 Ultra prior to this and so far this out handles my old scooter by far.

Welcome to the site from East Tennessee. Sorry about the paint issues but glad the dealer jumped right into the corrective actions (as they should). As some others have mentioned, please post a couple pics of the scoot when you get a chance (and get it back). As for as the handling issues, I've owned many variations of the Electra Glide over the years (most recently an 09 SG and now a '12 SESG) and have never noticed anything unstable about any of them. Know a couple folks that have the new '13 SEEG and no issues with them, either. When you get it back and still doesn't feel right, let the dealer know. They may use the line "it's suppose to feel that way" or "they all do that" or "nothing wrong, it's in spec" BUT they may find something wrong so doesn't hurt to check.
As far as the site, it's a great place to get all kinds of opinions on your issues along with just about everything else CVO related. So enjoy the site, the new CVO (when you get it back) and keep it between the ditches...

Thanks again everybody. And to Haird, I will post some pictures when I get it back. I had a 2011 Ultra Limited before this bike and I never had any issues with instability either and I rode it in all situations. Maybe I'm just paranoid because I spent so much money and feel like I dont have anything yet.

hang in there! know that the wait will be worth the satisfaction. I have a hand issue & can't ride right now, & chewing at the bitas well. I have 08 glide &12seuc . no issues with stability, however I think thseuc rides & handles a bit better than the glide. congrats on the new ride & WELCOME!!

Yes it was a VERY NICE BIRTHDAY until I saw the stupid mistakes in my paint. I thought I was buying the best of the best! I still have faith as this is not my first Harley Davidson, but since I bought this motorcycle back in January and I still haven't ridden? the bike, I'm starting to get influenced by the Wing riders, Help!! I need some reinforcements.

WOW , THATS ALOT OF NON USE FOR A NEW CVO. YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK WITH A LEMON LAW ATTORNEY. Sorry to read about your paint issues. The dealer may be waiting awhile for replacement CVO tins. From what I've read here and elsewhere, the MoCo has a revolving schedule for painting different colors. Not likely they would pull painted parts from production for warranty claims. Hang in there... If the dealer has the parts ordered, there probably is little or nothing they can do to speed up delivery.

I had to wait 7 weeks for my Tour Pak. I don't know if warranty parts are handled any differently than custom-order parts. I would like to think they are - but my gut tells me that everything's likely handled on a sequential basis...

I have heard finger print under the clear coat stories enough to wonder if the quality control inspector has his mind on riding instead of QC. Hope they get you rolling quick.

When I was shopping for a ride in 2011, I was at one dealer and I'd looked at a new/used 103 classic. I told the dealer I was leaning more to an CVO, he at that time said,.... Well if that's the way you want to go that's ok,... but just be prepaired to wait for any parts you my need, it could take twice as long for 110 parts as to 103.
I thought to my self THAT'S a sales pitch,... but have come to learn he was not far wrong. Keep on top of your dealer and don't be scared to push after all you can use the line,... HAY THERE WAS NO PAINT FLAWS WITH THE MONEY YOU TOOK!!! that kind of line can motivate them. Good luck hope it all gets sorted soon for ya foxman.

Hang in there on the paint and don't hesitate to scope out the replacement parts thoroughly for flaws. Not sure where the QC goes on some of this stuff but they do seem to miss soem real obvious flaws. Congrats on the new ride and enjoy many safe miles!

WELCOME FROM CONCORD, N.C. I'd ask for a delivery date on the parts and want to ride it till they came in. Prints shouldn't ruin your ride, just think of it like bugs you havn't washed off yet.

Hey everybody, I got my bike back! It looks great , they fixed the paint problems and it looks great. I rode 240 miles on my first ride and it is a fantastic motorcycle. I can tell a difference between my old 103" and my new 110". I love it. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures I will do that. Can anybody help with that?
