Hey Howard.., I've got an idea   Jesse wouldn't give up his TP but maybe you could talk him out of his saddlebag?  Do you think you could help Howard out Jesse  :nixweiss:  If it wasn't covered by warranty Howard I would tell you to look on ebay, cause someone has for sale that same bag in your color.

Thanks Judy.  I believe it's pretty straight forward that they will cover it.  Got a good dealer so that helps, too.

REPAIR.......hell no Howard, no way should you settle for a repair. Reuse the top...OK. New bottom would be the least they could do. Good Ludk!!!

Sorry to read this, Howard. That sucks. They absolutely should replace the bag! A repair will never look as good as a new bag.

I'm going to check my amp before I ride again...

Got back late last night.  Ken had it right (N Georgia Hawg) it was a miserable ride but made it and Ginger didn't miss a beat even with a hole in her side.
Spoke with SMHD this morning.  They got my pics from Friday and want to look/take their own to send to the moco and get the bag replaced.  I am still miffed but glad it's being addressed and replaced.

Make sure to check your amp mount folks. As I stated , the 2013 CVOs are set up the same way. I can't be the only one that has ever had this problem/issue. Just hope it does not happen to y'all.

Glad the Dealer is working well with you on this one, that makes it a lot less painfull, good luck I would shoot for replacement not a repair.

I find it odd that your bike didn't come with the bag liners. Maybe that's an Ultra thing. Sure would have stopped that a lot sooner.

I do believe that is an ultra thing. The lowly street glide just lives with the bare, hard sides... :2vrolijk_21:

Hay Howard, sounds as though SMHD has no issue going with a replacement, glade for ya on that one mate.
How about moco, and you didn't say what kind on replacement time your going to be looking at?...ya know
I still can't get my head around the fact they use stick back to hold an amp in place when it's mounted in such a place were it's subjected so much rapid movement.

Have a good day man, I'm on holidays weather sucks

I appreciate the thought, Judy.  Even with the damage, she didn't miss a beat on the way home.  What a bike... ;D

I was just about to mention, you guys dont have bag liners? I just re-routed my amp to the saddle bag from under the Tourpak on my Ultra and Velcro'd it to the liner and used a black velcro belt to secure it. I had no idea the Street Glides did not come with these fancy liners we get on our Ultras. You would think they would.

Thanks for the heads up, I will check my amp on Da King today.  We just got back Sunday from a 2543 mile trip to Daytona, Fort Myers and Key West.
