Honey Badger never goes anywhere without her rain sock! I have it mounted behind the chrome cover. As was pointed out, it acts as a prefilter and doesn't restrict airflow. I never have to be concerned with riding in the rain, washing, etc.

Thanks Ken, sometimes things can be so simple that we overlook the most obvious solutions!  Took care of it once and for all before our ride this past weekend.

Only when it rains, when I wash the bike I use press-n-seal.

Only in heavy rain.  Otherwise, it inhibits the bike from breathing air.  More air=good.

I have played around with different rain socks on different filter set ups.  I really haven't seen too much difference from one stage 1 to the next.  Until 115 or so.
