Wiring For New Zumo
« on: December 09, 2006, 01:49:07 AM »

Just got the new Zumo [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif].  I am in the process of installing the unit and trying to decide on what power source to use.  I know some have talked about wiring it into the front fairing but I am not excited about having to remove the front cover.  Looking for other options if anyone has ideas.

Really only got three options for a power sources Kerry.  Inside the fairing at the light plug (switched).  Plugged in to the lighter plug (switched).  Or run and hidden some way going all the way back to the battery itself.  Guess you could also run and hide a power lead to pick up at the acc'y plug behind the tank.

Thanks Don,
Ended up wiring it to the cigarette lighter.  Had some extra time so taking off the front fairing was a piece of cake.  Works like a dream.  Now I can put some work into planning the Nelson rides [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
