I would like the option of ordering a new Streetglide with a BMW 1600 engine fitted with an exhaust system that makes it sound like a twin cylinder Harley.

You can get a sweet sounding exhaust system for the K1600B, sounds more like a formula race car. The K1600B or bagger is a good looking bike as well in my opinion. Has more performance features than a CVO for half the price. The best one is the clutchless quick shifter. Really not fair to compare with a Harley, they are different animals. Love them both for what they are.

I personally think they will come with the softail type frame probably the same but modified to take the extra electrics of the tourers. Upside down front end. The new turning daymaker headlights and possibly with the new heads up display thats coming on the livewire... :cucumber:

I normally replace my bike every 3-4 years, all CVO's last 2 being Roadglides.
I current bike is a 2015 CVO Roadglide. 26k miles, just back from a tour of Portugal.
So pissed at lack of design ideas, decided instead to complete a stage 4, upgrade to 117 and had a complete rolling road tune. Replaced cylinder down pipes and new pipes.
Paid HD the necessary fees for the tuning engineer to access ALL points.

The result is a new bike.....or feels like one.
supper torque and a graph output on performance that is never ending...... so chart attached, matched against a CVO road king 110 recent tuning.
I can fully recommend this method to upgrade your bike. Lot cheaper too.

Here is a pic of a guy who mounted the fang to the conventional big crash bar.     Then you could mount lowers.    Not sure what he did or how sturdy it is.

See post # 226,  he lists the mods he had to make but no photos.

Our local dealership tried this. Once the lowers are installed the larger front tire will hit the lowers at certain turn angles
