Delkron Engine Case SN's

Has Anyone every heard of the serial number being backwards

I haven't.  But I'm curious.....what year of cases are they?  What motor are they for?  Do the case numbers match the certificate of orgin numbers?

IT IS A SHOVELHEAD...AND I BOUGHT IT FROM A INDIVIDUAL SO ALL I HAVE IS THE BILL OF SALE.. AND I TO AM CURIOUS OF WHAT YEAR.. HOW DO I TELL?

ok i feel much better now... theres one on e-bay... and they numbers are the same way... but i do i tell what year it is?

Have you tried Delkron's website to see if they have a section explaining how their VIN's are stamped ?

I think Delkron was stamping their cases with reverse stamps (use a mirror to read it) to further prevent alterations.  Allen was doing this before he sold Delkron.  Not sure if Delkron is still doing it......they're no longer in Sacramento.  You can call or email Delkron and give them the vin number and I believe they can tell you when those cases were made.
