Once that 180 gets worn down the sprocket will be painted.

Just hope it turns out well.

No use taking the wheel off just to paint that sprocket.  I don't think it stands out all that much, unless someone is taking a picture of just that area...and I don't think that happens all that often.  Harley just save me some money by not having a part for that.  I had already told them to go ahead and throw that on there while they had the bike there, and it felt good seeing them strike it back off the order.  I feel like I came out ahead today.   :nixweiss:

No questions.  Looks like a very simple install.  Thanks.  I have to go to a different dealer to pick that up...the one that actually gives me 20% off.  My dealer only gives me 5% of parts purchases on a card to put toward more purchases.

It is... trust me... If I could install it w/o messing it up or breaking anything in the immediate area it's easy. :2vrolijk_21: The hardest thing for me was getting my lard @$$ up and down off the floor to install it. :D :D

Words of wisdom there.  I don't know which one is more difficult anymore.  Getting down there or getting back up.  I try real hard to anticipate everything I need before getting on the floor.  I don't like to have to do it more than once.  It sucks to get old!

CHip,

LtBawb had his front wheel painted on his 98 Ultra, the alumins was all pitted and looked liked crap.

The painted wheel looked really good when it ws finished.

I think your sprocket will look just fine too.

Oh yeah - BTW - you cost me another $70 tonight.

I was at the dealer and the parts guy told me that the sprocket cover that had there would fit my bike.  I told service to put it on.  The tech came running out to show me that they do not work.  The sprocket cover has bolt holes to hold it on, but there are no bolts there on the outside of the 09 SEUC sprocket.  You have to get a new sprocket in chrome or nothing...and as I mentioned above, the only one I found so far for the 09 was $649.99 from Kuryakyn, and I have a feeling that may still eliminate the compensator if you do that.  So Chip, I hope your paint thing works out for you, since the options aren't great.

I pulled the one off my 07 the first year & got it chromed. Cost $180.00. Cheapest way out.
