Fly and Ride to Milwaukee

Doing a bit of shopping and looking for a break, thinking of flying from Australia to Milwaukee for the 110th and hiring a bike for several days, any tips on where to hire a bike and day rides from Milwaukee?

Might want to check into the rentals through HOG or at least a dealer in the area that offers them. The wife and I did that in CA two years ago and it worked great, we are actually doing it again this year in NC - driving our daughter down to college in August and picking up a rental bike at Tilley HD in Salisbury NC for a weeks worth of riding.

I believe the House of Harley may be a fly and ride dealer +1 (414) 282-2211.  You could PM me for some ride ideas.

      Welcome, there are several locations to rent from. The Harley dealers all rent newer model bikes. 
       Hals Harley Davidson- New Berlin Wis. Just west of Milwaukee
                                     262-814-8685. rental@halshd.com   Baggers start @ 139.00 day, goes down with additional days.
       House of Harley- Milwaukee H/D. Milwaukee Wis. Closest to the airport..
                                     414-988-7042.                             Baggers start @ 140.00 day, 1-2 days
                                                                                                         @ 124.00 day, 3-6 days.
       Suburban Harley Davidson- Thiensville Wis. Just north of Milwaukee.
                                      262-242-2464.                            Baggers start @ 129.00 day, 700.00 weekly. 

 All require a valid license ( not sure about out of country license or if you must have a motorcycle stamp), minimum age 21, credit card with 2000.00 available on it. Dot approved helmet ( even though we are a no helmet required state and probably others.
    A good two day or longer trip would be up to Door county and the peninsula , ride along the shore of the Green Bay area and Lake Michigan to the tip and from there take the ferry over to Washington Island.
  Have fun and I hope that you are able to make the trip.  Home of Harley Davidson, Green Bay Packers and some of the best cheese in the world.
