CVO icon on the Desktop?
« on: December 24, 2006, 07:05:19 AM »

Hi guys, does anyone know how to get the pink CVO icon to appear on the desktop?

I've done this at work but can't remember how I did it.

Cheers

Hello Dave,

I explain you with my bad english, Sorry ! And my softwares are in french ! :(

In your favories list, with the mouse, you click right on the "CVO FLHRSEI" favori. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
In the menu, you choose "copy". [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
You go on your desktop. :)
Here, you click right and in the menu, you choose "Stick the shortcut" (probably it's not exactly the same words but it's this action). ;)
You pink CVO icon is arrive and when you click left on this, you arrive directly on our website. [smiley=drink.gif]

Merry Christmas and happy new Year ! [smiley=santa3.gif]

One thing you will notice over time is that the icon will disappear and be replaced by the generic IE icon.  That's because the actual pink CVO icon is stored in your browser's cache, and when it gets emptied you lose the icon.

If you want to make sure this doesn't happen, copy the icon from your browser cache (Temporary Internet Files) to your local hard drive.  Right click your desktop shortcut, click properties, click "change icon", browse to the folder you saved the icon file in, click on the pink CVO icon, click OK, OK.

I actually have a folder on the C drive named icons where I store these.

Thanks everyone - I can get here OK - I just want the cute pink CVO icon on the desktop.

I tried what you said Jacques, but, like MJZ, I just get the default IE icon

Hmmm, there HAS to be a way...

BTW
I just got a text from my daughter, who is in Thailand for 3 months (while I shiver back home in UK, wishing me Happy Christmas because it is already Christmas day for her.

Cheers
