Wind Deflector Fog

Greetings,

Does anyone have anyidea what causes the smoked windscreens to get foggy? Is there anyway to clean it? Thanks in advance!

Could it be Moisture or Humidity? ;D Did I guess right ? ;)

If it isn't a condensation issue , and it's a haze problem , you may buff it out .

You haven't said what products you have previously used on the w/shield, but I believe RainX or another similiar product can cause haziness when used over time.

This cure works for windshields , face shields or goggles, take a small amount of liquid dish soap and rub it around on the surface then wipe it off. the wiping off is the hard part but you will be fog free for several days unless it gets washed away. :2vrolijk_21:

Be very careful about power buffing.  I did that on a previos scoot and although it made the windshield very clear you could see a  kinda blob area.  Turns out the RainX that had been used on it weakens the coating that the factory windshields have.  It can cause a hazy fog like effect.  Then a power buffer takes it right off and leaves a splotchy effect especially when headlights hit it. 

I use the Novus medium and light grits to clean 'em up when the get dirty and they don't haze up.
