Repair complete.  Purple bike is FMC, however, HID kit is due in Tuesday, so rather than go through the trouble of taking the Purple Bike off the Handy Lift only to have to put it back on to install the HID, I'll just leave it there and ride the Green Bike.  Damn........hate it when that happens.   :huepfenlol2:

Spent the last 3 1/2 hours cleaning the bike after MV09 and forgot to look for this. I'll have to check it in the morning.

Geez I spent 3 1/2 days cleaning mine after MV 09..... :2vrolijk_21:

My suggestion is to carry spares of the little things..... they don't take up that much room and come in very handy!!!!!!

If I am not mistaken there should also be a thin washer on there before the cotter pin. Looking for a parts view......... :nixweiss:

Actually I think I have to remove the brake pedal nut to get that pin out  :nixweiss:

I can't quite place where this is located... Please advise.

brake pedal-master cylinder link.

Even without the cotter pin, the clevis pin most likely will not fall out.

  Why clean? Exactly!
I do this following every ride in excess of one-hundred miles. Previous bikes have revealed loose fasteners of every sort. I am certain this one will be no different.

Reggab, I totally agree with making a safety check while cleaning. It is amazing what you can find loose or missing upon close inspection. I like the hitch pin idea one of the other guys had. I just can't imagine how yours came out in the first place. CAHDBIKER
