I've lived here all my life(56yrs) and I've never heard NYC refered to as flatland.

The ARMPIT OF THE EAST,   now that I've heard of for years. [smiley=apple.gif]

It must be a mountains thing. I've been going to the Catskills and Adirondaks for years. It's a fairly common derogatory way of describing us city folk up in dem dere hills. I guess once you leave the mountains it doesn't apply anymore! ;) Hoist! 8-)

Bob,
Welcome aboard, we are glad to have you. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  You've landed at the right place to meet a bunch of new friends that will be most helpful if you need any questions answered about your new scooter, and more helpful in spending money on your new scooter. ;D Don't forget to post some pictures of your bike when you get it.
