Hi, ice6900-

I have the Int'l numbers for each color of the FXSTSSE.  I don't know which yours is, but here's the breakdown.

Amarillo Gold / Candy Tangerine  88
Abyss Blue / Blue Pearl  79
Canyon Copper / Candy Red  67

Domestic, California, Canada, and UK numbers are separate from these; but no further Int'l breakdown is available by country.  There can't be many in Switzerland, for sure.

Wow thanks
I have a BLUE

So... you have one of 79 International units of the 991 Abyss Blue/Blue Pearl FXSTSSE out of 2558 total model production (+9 "Specials").

Your FXR3 figures need to be updated with the "number du jour."

Interesting, and I missed that thread info.  It leaves us to then speculate where the 64 number came from.  Possibly total non-Domestic numbers out of the 300?  Who knows.

I should send a return e-mail request for confirmation of all numbers of all models.  I'll wait until I get the incoming bulk info and see what response I get.

Thanks for the heads-up.  That leaves the '09 Orange/Black FXDFSE (179) and the 3 '10 FXDFSE2 colors (incoming) as the lowest in CVO history (pending other incoming model/color info, also).

Numbers aren't life or death, but are certainly interesting.

Confusion here! There was 2 Blue 1999 FXRs, 2 and 3. The number 300 is too close to the FXR2 number 276 we got earlier compared to the FXR3 Blue listed at 64. I like to be accurate when I post something like this, so please set me straight.  Dave

All I know is what is written in that thread.  The number was 64, but is now 300 blue flame FXR 3s.  No mention of stone cold blue FXR 2s anywhere there.

In the Registry on that thread, the VIN range is from 9515XX to 9518XX.  It looks like there could easily be the 300 number, and it was a misquote from whomever back in 2007.

I'll get to the bottom of it within a week or so, for sure.

Wasn't it 2009 that the CVO ops moved out of PA?

I'm not sure.

I thought all the CVOs were hand built in York PA in a separate facility. Are they now made at the Milwaukee facility on Juneau street? Why did HD do this?

The change was implemented after '10 for the 2011 models and beyond.  No more small-station teams building the CVOs.  I believe it was previously 2-person teams for non-baggers and 4-person teams for bagger models.  Now they're funnelled onto the lines with the non-CVO versions.

Someone else may be able to elaborate further.

Sounds like how they build the Special Edition Police Officer or Fire Fighter bikes. Stop production, fill the paint guns with the special edition colors, paint the parts, and then assemble them with the rest.

On a History channel show about the Vrod they showed the CVO build, stating that the smaller bikes have a single builder, and they all would sign the bike somewhere hidden. And the big bikes had 2 builders, also signing somewhere.

So that explains the sigs inside my headlight nacelle--saw them when I put my new Wild1 513s on . . . they even dated it:  14 February 2003, Valentine's Day . . . they showed me the love!    :bananarock:

There is a guy outside of Atlanta selling his 2005 SE V-Rod, 1000 out of 1000 with all of the signatures underside of the gas tank . . . here's the pics:
