Serial numbers
« on: February 26, 2004, 10:33:31 AM »

Does anyone know if CVO bikes their own serial numbers?  I know that the 5th and 6th digit in the serial number designates the model. EI:  WG2 or WG.  Is there a way to tell from the sequential number if the bike was the first or last of that model year or somewhere in between.  Not that this is of great importance just curious.

Congratulations on a great site, lots of good information.

Good question. Unfortunately I don't have an answer. I will however ask tomorrow. I just happen to work with a guy that is part of the 2005 model year CVO team.

Now the only problem is REMEMBERING it that long! [smiley=inquisitive.gif]

I am familiar with the VIN decoding.  I was looking to find out if the CVO's had their own sequence of numbers.  The VIN tells you if it is a CVO bike but is there a way you can tell it's order in the production run?
