HEY GUYS.... IM ABOUT TO JOIN THE CLUB!! PICKING UP MY 2006 SE ULTRA THIS SUNDAY!! VERY EXCITED.... I DO ALREADY HAVE A 2001 ELECTRA GLIDE CLASSIC WHICH I LOVE BUT I NEED MORE POWER AND MORE FLASH!! CANT WAIT....

THE CURRENT OWNER SEEMS REAL COOL AND IS BEING VERY HELPFUL SO FAR.. JUST ONE CONCERN... HE SAID WHEN HE FIRST GOT IT THE BIKE WOULD STALL IN 2ND GEAR WHEN COLD.. HE SAID MANY 06 SE ULTRAS HAD SAME PROBLEM. HE BROUGHT IT INTO HARLEY AND THEY INSTALLED A POWER COMMANDER AND A STAGE ONE KIT AND DID SOME KIND OF RE MAP OF THE COMPUTER... HE DOESNT KNOW WHAT DID WHAT BUT HE SAID HE NEVER HAD THE PROBLEM AGAIN AND THE BIKE IS STRONG AND FAST AS HELL NOW... ANYTHING I SHOULD LOOK FOR WHEN I PICK IT UP FOR PROBLEMS.....

sorry for all the caps just realized..... looking forward to spending many hours on this site learning about my bike and seeing all the new ways to blow through $$$$$. cant wait....

Hi Electra88 and welcome. I've had my 06 screamin ultra for a little over a year now. Never had any stalling problem, in fact, i've never had any problem of any kind. Your gonna love that bike. And yes, you did get the best color, that bike do shine in the sun.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the stalling issue. Some of us have had the problem but the addition of either the Power Commander or the SERT have resolved them. I had the SERT, Stage 1 A/C, and Rineharts installed before I took delivery but I was not happy with the map the dealer used. I bought one from H-D Maps and the induced the problem. I had the bike dynoed and tuned at the 1K service which took care of the problem and haven't had any problems since. The symptom is a studder/cough when cold either in first gear or when shifting to second. If the bike has it, it can be corrected so no worries.

Welcome to CVO Harley. Looks like you're gonna have a stable after tomorrow. As for the stalling, I never had the problem with mine. Might be a tactics, techniques and procedures thing on the part of the soon to be former owner. I don't know, but I do know this is the first I've heard of it. There were/are paint issues with the 06 SEUCs, but I believe the Haze was less affected than the Melon and Milk Dud. Again, welcome.

Welcome to the site and you're getting a great bike. Never had any stalling problems on mine that could not be attributed to operator error, but some of the one's built early on in the model year had some issues with the injectors being wrong type.

Also, I noticed in the pic of the right side that the owner has replaced the A/C cover with the standard football cover. This is not the cover that came on the SE model, so I would ask him if he still has the stock cover...it has a Screamin' Eagle emblem. Both work fine, it's just a matter of personal preference. You should also get the CVO cover, and the Gold Key...both standard issue with the CVO bikes in 06. The Gold Key comes in a box like a piece of jewlry.

Just to caveat what Terry said, be sure you get the tour pak and saddlebag luggage, saddlebag and tour pak liners, two keys and fobs, owner's manual and cover as well as a pouch. You probably won't use the pouch, since there is nowhere to mount it without having the hardware protrude through the tour pak.....but it does come with the bike. It should also come with a tub of leather/vinyl protectant............but GLARE leather/vinyl protectant is way mo'betta.

As for your garage door opener, part of it is on the bike. The other part (receiver) is a plastic box that plugs into the wall. It looks like the picture I posted below. You'll need to follow the directions in the owner's manual to install it and pair the transmitter on the bike to the receiver.

Oh and there is a switch for the passenger on the right side that doesnt work... I think its supposed to raise the volume on the stereo system but it doesnt do anything... the switch on the other side changes the station.

Yessir, the receiver does come with the bike. If you didn't get it from the previous owner, you probably ought to ask for it. I would. The switch on the right rear speaker box is for the passenger to control volume in the helmet headset only. Passenger has no control of speaker volume. It also funtions as a "Push-to-Talk" switch for the CB.

You cam also buy another garage door opener, the high beam low beam switch makes it works, If I sold my bike, no way do I give up the transmiter for the garage door.

As far as the switch on the seat, on the dash is a 'speaker' switch, flick that and see if that helps.........me, I firmly believe that the pasenger shouldnt get any controls to play with. Just sit there looking fine and dont Touch Nothing !!! well, almost nothing.
