5 and 6 Speed Trap Door Bearings
« on: March 28, 2022, 09:06:26 PM »

Is there a difference between the Harley, Baker and Jim's trap door bearings? The 6 speed trap doors are thicker than stock. Will the Stock HD trap door bearings hold a S&S V124 HP/TQ ? Main bearing?
Thanks

My Baker trap door came with the 52mm bearings (grudge box).
I’m not sure they are any different than OEM or Jim’s.
The door is substantially more beefy than stock and a work of art!
My stock trap door and bearings held up fine with big power. Sadly the rest of the transmission broke before any issues with the trap door or bearings.

I have Baker O.D. 6 speed. My son has a Rivera Primo O.D. 6 speed and my brother has a stock 5 speed. Just want to have one set of bearings for all when needed. Thanks
