Headlight Concerns
« on: May 11, 2007, 11:30:49 PM »

Greetings once again!
I just picked up my SERK a week ago and have been doing ALOT of riding since.  I have 2 concerns, and I am wondering if I can get some feed back.  First, I just had the deadlight fuse go out on me.  Luckily it was during the day, and at some point during a 3 hour ride.  Not sure what caused it to go out.  It was not rainy and was warm...don't think it was the environment.  The 15 amp fuse was replaced, and all is fine, so far.  Second, the stock bulbs just aren't bright enough for my liking.  Has anone replaced them with a higher wattage or gas type?  If so, what is the size or model number for the new bulbs.  I do half my riding at night to and from work.  Thanks for your help in advance.

1st I have heard of this problem with the SERK. I agree with you that the headlamp just is not bright enough either. I run with brights 24/7 and I HAVE NOT HAD A SINGLE VEHICLE FLASH ME for having brights on. I do like the amout of light from side to side though, just no penetration forward.
