CVO Harley Member In American Rider???
« on: November 28, 2007, 12:21:00 PM »

Was reading the December issue of American Rider and there is an article called "Then and Now 10 Miles of Memories... 100 Years Later" by Steve Farson. These pictures reminded me so much of the picture/ride reports that our member sfarson has shared with us. Could this be him also? :nixweiss:

That's him.  I've enjoyed his videos and postings for quite a while now on another forum.  Having been myself to some of the same locations in Colorado as he visits and writes about is a bonus.

He once made a video that started with him carefully riding out of his driveway (or maybe it was a narrow dirt road?) through the woods in the snow.  Waved to his wife going the other way in a jeep.  The paved highway in the video was clear but as you can tell, I remember wondering how far he had to pick his way through the now to get there.  And yes, it looked cold, also.

I always get a kick out of his stuff.

Great story and great reading.  Thanks for posting it Gary.

And thanks to American Rider Magazine for printing it.  From time to time Buzz Buzzelli and I have corresponded regarding CVOs and the SEEG in particular.  I've invited Buzz to join us for the Nor Cal Tour that I've scheduled for Sept. 08.  He's indicated that he'll take a look at his schedule and let me know.

I hope he's free two months ago.     :nixweiss:   Jut kidding, I'm sure you meant 2008.

Great post, Gary! :2vrolijk_21:  No doubt it's one and the same.  I really enjoy the two perspectives, old and new.  Not sure where he comes up with all the old photographs, but to combine it with bikes like he does is a real art.  Thanks for the scan of the article.  Cool stuff! :huepfenjump3:
