Bags and saddle for CVO Fat Bob 2009
« on: January 31, 2010, 09:32:32 AM »

Hi mates!

Do you know if I could find these bags and saddle combination for my 2009 CVO Fat Bob? Are they already available as a spare part (accessory)?

I have the same bags, but in black, on my 2009 SE FB.

Hey there Apartaapee, did you ever go with the brown leather seat and bags on your Black & Fire Quartz Fat Bob?  If so...any pictures?

Hi Randylee!

I am still planning that as a one option but have not yet recieved my bike here to Middle East  ;) Absolutely, I will send some pictures if I able to get them (saddle and bags) here. I am serving here as a military observer and the bike will stay at the other side of the cease fire line  ;) But no worries, I can always cross the line and have a ride  8)

I really liked the look of the brown leather add-ons of an FXDF posted on MoCo's website that had a chitload of accessories
( http://accessories.harley-davidson.com/cat/beautyspreads/FXDF.jpg )  I thought it a shame how the factory two-up seat covered up the majority of the Fire Quartz paint job on the rear fender. So I went to dealership and ordered brown leather solo seat (51937-10).  I was disappointed when it arrived to see that it was soooo dark - especially compared to light brown colored seat and pillion pad on the 2010 FXDFSE2 sitting on the sales floor then.  I declined the 1st and ordered a 2nd seat thinking it that it could not come any darker.  The 2nd seat came just as dark, but also had some ripples in the leather that I didn't like.  I asked the dealership to hold it for a while and placed an order for the brown leather saddlebags.  I figured the shade wouldn't be big deal as long as all the components were similar.

Then...shortly after the saddlebags arrived, I found an ebay posting that was selling the brown Seat, Pillion pad, Backrest pad, and Saddlebags - all in great shape - all for $700.  SCORE!!  Paid only $50 shipping.  Items did not come with any hardware so I spent a few hundred dollars on sissy bar and mounting hardware and a cargo rack.  Dealership gave full refund of monies I paid for seat and saddlebags.

I got the solo seat on - pics below.

Here's more pics of my rig, sorry took so long.  This is Seat and Bags (1 of 3) mounted w/ removeable backrest hardware.  Saddlebags are not quick release.
