be careful of any fuel splashing near the trip ring as it will melt the glue and it will fall off. happened today to me as I was filling with a gas can and got a little splash. I clamped it down with an old HD gas cap and it seems to be sticking back in place. Time will tell if this works or I need to replace it with one with new sticky tape.

I've heard a lot of flush mount trim rings had this issue. Harley needs some fuel resistant sticky tape or a better method to attach the trim ring.
