Yes you can still hear it above 60. Riding down the interstate at 70 it can still be heard. Just have to remember to turn the volume on the ipod up to 3/4 volume, then the bikes volume controls will work great.
Loven mine so far with around 350 miles on her. Her as in Sara  ;)

Well, here it is.  Let me introduce you to "Frankly".  Not sure if it's a her or a him.......guess it's an "it"........  At least for now.  Took a few pictures yesterday and so can now post a couple here.  Runs as good as it looks.  Real soon mods will include putting on the airhorn from the '10.  Put on the matching trunk as you can see.  In the next few days should have the luggage rack behind the sissy bar.  Getting ready to shift the rear pegs to the crash bar but have to find someone to custom make me an adapter for my swept wing rear footboards that I invested $1000 in for the '10.  Nobody was getting that for free.  (note: as of this morning, I now have the rear pegs on the crash bar and the sweptwings are mounted on the rear but need to finetune the mount a bit.  But works well for now)  So, here "it" is.       Bike's so bright you.........

Well, you got me there, Fadboy.  The crash bar is the current one offered in the Harley book.  The non-existant highway pegs are of course attached to the rear in this picture.  They are installed on the crashbar in this next photo.  they are the original rear pegs that come with the bike.  They are Harley brand, and are the Rumble collection that has been on a few bikes for the last few years.  This next picture was taken last night and the fiance sat on the back seat and it was soooooo nice to have footboards again!  Next will be the airhorn.  Pork.   forgive my ignorance, but what does chite mean??

Guess I still missed it.  However, I value having something over my face that should preserve my face in the event I or my fiance go skidding down the pavement on my face.  To quote a friend of mine a couple years ago, "to have lips with which to kiss my wife" seems important to me.  8)

Pork,

Nice ride. The bigger saddlebags balance tourpack better than on the '10. As far as the full face helmet, don't compromise your safety if that is what you are comfortable with. Years ago I went down hard on the highway at speed. I landed and slid on my face and the part of the helmet protecting my jaw was ground down to the core material. Needless to say if I had been wearing my open face helmet my life would be quite different right now. I wear both these days depending on the ride type, location and weather and don't really care if I get the nod or not from other riders.

Enjoy that new ConV!

Mike, well fiance just happens to be an operating room nurse so I got us both into fullface shoei's as soon as I could.  Seriously, this RF-1100 helmet fits so well, it deletes most of the windshield turbulence as well.   Well worth the money.
thanks.   Pork
