We wanted to pick up the tt cherry, but kept finding them all spoken for. Fimally, when I could not take kicking tires anymore, we got serious. We asked at our local dealer, Colonial HD and they wanted a $1500 premium. We called to our old dealer, East Coast and they wanted the same. We called Fairfax and they wanted the same. We called Orange (Waughs) and they have added $6250 in extras, but will sell the bike for MSRP plus the extras. My husband bought his b/b last year at Colonial because they sold for MSRP - East Coast wanted $5,000 premium, Famous Mikes wanted pretty much the same, so we just started to phone around. We found several bikes available at MSRP, so we just kept shortening the circumfrance on the map to get closer to home. I am just flabbergasted. I am ready willing and able to buy a bike, and going to spend a fortune on upgrades - check the records - we upgrade all our bikes, and they are just willing to let us walk. Oh well. Walk we did. For a two hour drive we saved more than $1500 because we bought the bike at MSRP and had less expensive processing fees at Lynchburg HD. Great people. Real friendly and helpful. My husband kindly volunteered to drive it for me (I whimped out at 34 degrees) and even though he killed a turkey on the way home, the bike is now safely in our garage and we paid MSRP. I wish the shops would think about it. Colonial, East Coast and Fairfax all have an 05 bike on the floor, not sold, entering a new year and they have to pay the taxes on it, all because they are being greedy. Oh well, we love ours.
