And the news reports that the rider wasn't wearing a helmet or protective clothing..... :huepfenlol2:

;D ;D Reminds me of a Saturday morning at the Kawasaki dealer when I was a kid, except for the uniform.

Reminded me of something I saw at the Harley dealership in Elk Grove about 15 years ago. And the poor guy got hung up on the wall of the dealership.....rode that FLH Standard all the way along the side of that building (stucco), picking up speed as he went and ran smack dab into the block wall at the back. He had to take an ambulance ride but he ended up OK. Not sure he ever got back on a bike.

;D ;D Good old days. Am hoping to live long enough for now to someday be the Good Old Days. These stories are fun as long as they don't involve us except as spectators. ;)
Saw a few Mr. Toad wild rides at dealers in my dirt bike days. Usually went something like "Sure I can ride a bike, I been ridin' since I was walkin'." Salesman explains how the kick start works then followed by an out of control ride across the parking lot, sometimes an unintentional wheelie. We thought it was funny, the Kawa dealer didn't. Worst was when a guy got on a brand new Moto Guzzi (they also sold MG) after he bought it. Ran out into the street under a semi. He never got back on a bike, for sure. Ambulance came but as Carl Childers says in Sling Blade, they coulda brought a hearse. :o

That was funny to watch.
In Oct 2002 watched a guy get on his new 100th anniversary Ultra Classic after delivery and ride it straight into a light pole in the parking lot. He broke his arm. Lots of damage to the bike.

I've got the feeling his command staff will have some "suggestions." Like, next time call a wrecker, wear a helmet, and don't ride non-legal vehicles on the road.

Always made me shake me head. What they had was 30 years of the same poor riding habits over and over. Now that's scary.
