Just 500! And this comes from a very reliable source, which I can't tell you, but I can tell you that he is a close friend to the cousin of the pool boy that used to clean Willy G.'s pool. For Real!!!! :o

500 of each color?

Considering the CVO Touring models are cash cows for the MoCo, you can expect them to crank out as many as they think they can sell. It will be a heck of a lot more than 500. Best guess would be several thousand, similar to what they produced recently in the CUSEx line.

That will work! ;D I forgot they sold over 3,300 of the 2012's.
I'm just not hearing the enthusiasm, I've heard in previous years about the bike, ironically when they've made so many improvements. I'll be surprised if they exceed 3500. For the first time the dealers I've checked with said MSRP, where usually they want a mark up. Maybe itj's the economy.
Obviously, I'm way off the mark! :-[

I think you can attribute any reduction in 2014 CVO Limited sales to the new 2014 Ultra Limited. The difference in money is substantial while the Ultra Limited delivers most features desired by touring riders. I know I am one, traded-in my 2007 SE Ultra on a new 2014 ultra limited, it covered the bases without going overboard. I would have preferred the CVO but could not justify the money. Those who can, I am very happy for you, I am just not one.

I was told by the dealer where I got mine that he was told 3300 and that meant 1100 of each color.

That sounds more in line with previous years..
On a side note, rode the blue/black CVO Limited yesterday for a while. After also riding the Ultra Limited with the 103 in it a week or so ago, I would gladly pay the extra 10k for the CVO. Still don't know if I'm going to trade or not. While it is a beautiful bike I'm not sure it is any better than what I already have. Just didn't make me think "oh, gotta have that!"....

I don't believe they've ever made the same amount of each color....of any model. I could be wrong (I was once before) but if they have, I don't recall it every happening. :nixweiss:

I used to think it was blue / black too until I bought one. It's actually a really, really dark blue , almost a dark purple that has a metallic if you see it in the light.
