Had 13,500 on the rear when I changed it prior to our trip out West. Still had a good couple thousand miles (at least) left but the rear does quite a bit of the work....don't mind changing it when I "feel" it needs it, tread left or not. Still, I was impressed with the wear on the rear.
Front is still going strong at 17,800 with still plenty of tread left. I have checked the beading area and no cracks on mine (and I took a good, long look prior to and after the trip).
Personally, I don't have any problems with the Dunlops. Seem to work well, last a good, long time and no issues yet in the rain. Of course, I'm not scraping the mufflers/pegs with it, either...
However, Vickie's Superlow came with Michelins. I like dem, too. Wouldn't be against the idea of swapping to the pillsbury brand if they ever come out with our size for the SESG...
