2012 FLHTCUSE7 upgrades
« on: June 17, 2020, 12:37:11 PM »

2012 FLHTCUSE7 bought in 2018 with 6700 miles. First change in 2018 was Fullsac DX headpipe with Kuryakyn crusher trident slip ons. TTS by Master tune and dyno tuned by Doc's Performance Tuning in Minneola FL. After exhaust bike made 82 max HP and 98 max torque. After TTS and dyno tune by Doc it made 93 max HP and 111 max torque

After dealing with the horrid valve train issues of the 110, stock SE 255 cam worn and cam bearings at 12K...replaced under my ESP, however to me that was not a long term reliable solution. Replaced the lifters out of a abundance of caution with way better S&S.

Yesterday Doc jammed in TTS 150 camshafts, replaced SE lifters with S&S lifters, replaced the 200 lb SE valve springs with T-Mann 160 lb beehive springs, Cometic .30 head gaskets and did a re-tune. After dyno tune yesterday she made 102 max HP and 116 max torque.

Engine is noticeably quieter and the power is certainly there. I was going for more reliability but definitely am very pleased with the HP and torque gains.

Grats on shoring up the bike for reliability.  Did you use S&S premiums or their new lifter?

Do you have a comparison of the tuned 255 vs the tuned TTS 150?

Used S&S new lifter. Attached is the dyno tune report from 2018. No stock numbers was pulled prior to exhaust, after Fullsac DX headpipe with Kuryakyn crusher trident slip ons the bike made 82 max HP and 98 max torque. After TTS and dyno tune by Doc it made 93 max HP and 111 max torque.

Did you update the clutch at all?   Looks like either some wheel slippage or clutch slippage going on?

Was more prevalent in the 111 Dyno but still seems to be there?

Clutch is good...doesn't slip at all.
